Welcome Message

NEWS:
Due to local covid pandemic policy change,we have to move the conference date from December 17-19 until the December 20-22.

Since the conferences are still 1.5 months away, we are watching closely the pandemic situation changes, we are still preparing for the physical attendance for those Chinese authors. This is why we require all authors to do so. If there is any hindrance to actual attendance, we will make corresponding adjustments in due course.

Smart cities (also smarter cities) use digital technologies to enhance performance and wellbeing, to reduce costs and resource consumption, and to engage more effectively and actively with its citizens. Developing a smart city to better support growing urban population is a global and complex challenge and involves interdisciplinary fields. Key ‘smart’ sectors include transportation, smart building, energy, health care, and water systems.

As a highly successful International Conference on Smart City, IEEE SmartCity is aiming to be a premier international conference in smart city. The SmartCity-2021 is the 19th edition of a forum to bring together computer scientists, industrial engineers and researchers to discuss and exchange experimental or theoretical results, novel designs, work-in-progress, experience, case studies, and trend-setting ideas in the area of smart city.

SmartCity-2021 will be hosted in Haikou. Haikou is the capital city of Hainan Province which locates in southernmost part of China with the land area of 2284.49 square kilometers and the sea area of 861.44 square kilometers. Haikou is a tropical island city and comprises Hainan Island(part), Haidian island and Xinbu island. Haikou has a comfortable climate and first-class ecological environment, thus it is a world-renowned resort that attracts many people to visit each year.

Prospective authors are invited to submit their papers to SmartCity-2021. All accepted papers are expected to be included in IEEE Xplore and will be indexed by Engineering Index (EI). The authors of selected best papers will be invited post conference to extend their contributions for special issues of prestigious journals to be planned in conjunction with the conference, including IEEE Transactions on Intelligent Transportation Systems (IF: 6.492), IEEE Transactions on Network Science and Engineering (IF: 3.894), IEEE/ACM Transactions on Computational Biology and Bioinformatics (IF: 3.710), IET Communications (IF: 1.542), Security and Communication Networks (IF:1.791), International Journal of Distributed Sensor Networks(IF:1.640), Building and Environment(IF:6.456) and MDPI Electronics (IF: 3.576).
